Make a Splash: How to Turn Your Garden into a Fun Water Park

If your kids are like most kids, they probably beg you to take them to the water park. And what’s not to love about water parks? The sun, the water, the thrilling rides, the hours of driving, the expense… Okay, so if you might not entirely share your kids’ enjoyment of water parks. So, why not bring the fun to your very own garden?

While you might not have the time to drive hours to your nearest water park or beach, with a little creativity, your garden can easily become the centre of splashing fun. No pool? No worries! By investing in the right pieces you can create your very own water park that’s equal amounts of exciting but significantly easier on your wallet.

Inflatable garden toys are usually the smartest choice as they are portable, can be easily assembled and dissembled and have no rough edges that kids can hurt themselves on. Usually, the inflatable toy kids love the most is the blow up water slide. This is because an inflatable slide can offer kids a number of ways to have fun including splashing, bouncing, climbing, and of course sliding. Since a blow up water slide is shallow, it’s completely safe for kids of all ages to use. If you want the slide to be used by more than just one kid, make sure to choose something that offers enough room and can support the weight of several children at the same time.

But what is a garden water park without sprinklers, right? There’s something about running through the sprinklers on hot summer’s day that makes it irresistible to both kids and adults. All you need is a garden hose and a sprinkler attached at the end of it. But if you don’t have one, you can easily make a sprinkler yourself. Just take an empty plastic bottle and poke some holes in the sides and at the bottom. Your kids can use these things to have fun and safe water fights or play various exciting water games. As you watch your kids splash around, you yourself can lounge under an umbrella or try to get a tan on your lawn.
